Brave alone. strong together.
As you might have heard me say already, motherhood was and is one of the most challenging thing I’ve done to date. After a long struggle with infertility I had my twins at 41. The first few weeks to a year of being a mother I felt the creeping crawl of anxiety, self-deprecation, judgment from others in my community, judgement from my family, low libido, and failure.
We either make ourselves miserable or we make ourselves strong. The amount of work is the same.
Three and a half years into motherhood and one season of my podcast later, I, like other strong women on my show, try to strike a balance between motherhood, marriage, work, friends and self-care.
We set the bar so high these days, and we’re all trying to be perfect, FUCK PERFECT! As Brene Brown puts it “Imperfections are not inadequacies; they are reminders that we’re all in this together.”
